Edward had a long career as an auto mechanic, eventually retiring from Leaseway Transportation. He was one of the original hands on mechanics. He had a unique talent for fixing almost anything. He enjoyed camping, fishing, NASCAR, and Sprint Car. He was the happiest in his garage.
Ed is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Gracellen; his daughter, Jeanne Dycus (John); sons, Eddie Robinson (Roxanne) and Roger Robinson (Wilma); grandchildren, Andrea Robinson, Deana Johnson (Eric), and Debbie Roedel (Scott), Stephanie Hoffherr (Mike), Justin Robinson (Katie), Jamie Whittington (Rich); step-grandchildren, Andy Shackelford and Lisa Loehrlein; great-grandchildren, Logan Roedel, Cooper Johnson, Ellie Johnson, Abby Whittington, Jackson Whittington, Sydney Robinson, and Cole Robinson; a brother; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Eula Robinson, and three sisters.
Services will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Alexander North Chapel, officiateed by Pastor Steve Clayton. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 until service time at the funeral home.
An angel came and called your name today and took you by the hand.
