Glenda Mae Dosher (Crandell), 76, went to be with her heavenly Father on February 6, 2023, at Mount Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center in Mt. Vernon, IN. Glenda was born on November 19, 1946, in Evansville, IN. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1965. Glenda was a medical assistant for many years and was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed her family so much. She was always the life of the party and loved a good time. Glenda was a generous and caring person and was loved by so many. Glenda was a straight shooter and was always willing to offer her opinion and advice.
Glenda is survived by her two children Gena (Kevin) Koconis and Kenneth “Bucky” (Jennifer) Dosher, her six grandchildren: Kenzee (Jamison Clouse) Koconis-Clouse, Kaleb Dosher, Abbi Dosher, Allyson Woods, Brianna Woods, and Kyle Woods, one great-grandchild Jones Woods and another one on the way (Symphonee Mae if a girl), her sister Marcia (Ronnie) Sturm and two brothers, Charles (Kathy) Crandell, and William “Billy” (Vicki) Crandell and many nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Marjorie and James Crandell and her biological father William “Bill” Farmer. She was also proceeded in death by her niece Melanie “Renea’” Sturm.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Friday, February 10, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. At Alexander West Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10. 2023 at 1:00 pm at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Glenda’s brother, Rev. Charles Crandell with a burial immediately following in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
