I spent every summer on Barker Ave for 15 years; in fact, Nor Nor always told me she lived a blessed life and she also knew that if ever she was loved, she knew that “Gyla & Adela” loved her as I called her every week. When I was married, she gave me a shower, when I became pregnant, she gave me a shower, she was the first person to call if ever you had a problem. She was full of positivity and was a woman of God. There are too many memories to limit to one post, but I can say that the best years of my childhood was the time I spent in Indiana and she will truly be missed as often I would call upon her since I lost my own mother. I will forever be a “Nor Nor Girl” as growing up I always wanted to go home with Aunt Norma and she let me, each and every time. I’m sorry for my cousins as to the loss, but I’m happy for “‘My Nor Nor” as she was reunited with Uncle Charles, Aunt Fern, Gma Sadie, Uncle Gary, Alyssa, my mother and more. She will truly be missed.

I am so sad that Aunt Norma is gone. I had just talked to her before she got sick. Her and Uncle Charles stood up for my Mom and Dad when they got married and I've always loved the picture of the four of them. My heart goes out to everyone that loved her. She touched lives with love and a sense of humor. I'll truly miss her. Now, my Mom and Dad can hang out with Aunt Norma and Uncle Charles again.

We always admired Nor Nor’s caring and selfless nature - her love and support being unconditional. It has been a blessing to have known her and we couldn’t have asked for a more generous mother, grandmother, and mother in law. Nor Nor’s kindness was contagious and her memory will live forever in our hearts. We love you and will miss you.
