Marian B. Nokleby

Marian B. Nokleby, age 92, of Everett, Washington passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Marian was born in Abbey, Saskatchewan, Canada to Frederick and Marit Cleven. The family moved to Vancouver where she grew up and worked for BC Telephone. On a visit to Stanwood, WA, she met the love of her life, Robert Nokleby. They eloped, lived in Hawaii for a year, and settled in Everett, WA. Marian stayed home with her daughter Julie, then went to work for Scott Paper as a machine operator for 26 years.

After both Marian and Bob retired from Scott Paper, they enjoyed taking ocean cruises and motor-homing around the United States. They were members of the Puget Sounders Motor Home Club for 20 years.

Marian is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert O. Nokleby; daughter, Julie A. Elliott (Jeff Price); former son-in-law, Lon Elliott; grandchildren, Sara Elliott and Katie (Brandon) Jensen; and brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Cleven.

Marian was pre deceased by sisters, Adeline Meehan and Lillian Aldcroft; brother, Tennie Cleven and grandson, Shane Robert Elliott.

Marian will be dearly missed by many.

Service will be held on Saturday October 7th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home - 4504 Broadway Everett WA 98203. Celebration of life to follow.
