Born August 9, 1934 in Hopskinville, Kentucky and succumbed to cancer after a very long and hard fought battle. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 23, 2021 at her home in Yuba City, CA.
She and her husband Jack of 62 years lived in the same house in Rancho Cordova for over 55 years. She was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed baking fancy cakes for the kids and grandkids birthdays and cookies for the Christmas holidays. She was a member of the Rancho Cordova Sports Club as a volunteer for the school's sports program. She worked in the snack bar and collected money in the ticket booth. She volunteered at Cordova Gardens helping teachers making copies and anything else that was needed. When the 5th graders went on their yearly field trip to Point Reyes, she did the cooking for the entire staff and children for fourteen years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack and son, Barry. She is survived by her son Randy (Linda), daughter Sally Rojic, granddaughters Lauren Chavez (David) and Magan Booth (Johnny) and Sara Rojic and grandson Nick Rojic, great grandsons Ayden Rojic, Kaecyn Cousens and Aceson Acklin.
A Graveside service will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on August 12th at 11:00 a.m. A reception will be held on the second floor immediately following the service in Bernadine's honor.
