DeLoris Shirley Lara

DeLoris was born in Stanley, South Dakota on May 15, 1938. She was a longtime resident of Sacramento and passed away at her daughter’s house on December 17, 2017 with family by her bedside. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alejo Lara, her parents Avis Danielson and Arthur Roberts, her sister Kathryn Alcorn, and her daughter Debra York.

DeLoris graduated from Grant High School in 1956. She loved cooking, family picnics, music and eating out with family and friends. DeLoris leaves behind 5 children; Danny (Lisa) York, Darcie York, Kandis (Kelly) Wise, John Rajevich, Sandra (Larry) Lara, 2 siblings; Richard Roberts, and Jeannie Stallberg; Grandchildren: Tristan York, Kayla York, Seth York, Rachelle York, Katie Ayers, Shaine York, Cassandra Lupton, CJ Huffhines and Adam Ketterling; Great-grandchildren: Lilianna Gibson, Joseph Lupton, Chrissy Lupton, Chloe Lupton, Jackson Ayers.

Family and friends are welcome to join us for Visitation on Tuesday, December 26 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park Chapel, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA. Following Visitation, at 1:00 PM, for funeral service and committal. Immediately followed by Life Celebration at 405 Longford Court, Lincoln, CA.
