OBITUARY

Romeo Perry

June 16, 1925September 29, 2019

Romeo Perry, 94, of New Bedford passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jane O. (Rafferty) Perry, the late Priscilla Perry, and Shirley Perry.

Born in Fairhaven, a son of the late Leo and Blanche (Bissonnette) Perry he grew up there and then living in New Bedford for most of his life.

Mr. Perry served in the United States Army and later worked as a manager for Bell Telephone for 30 years. Romeo will be remembered as being generous to everyone. He loved to give thoughtful gifts to friends and acquaintances. He also had a sincere love of children and animals of any type.

He is survived by his son, Bradley Perry; a grandson, Matthew Perry; four grandchildren, Tracy, Matthew, Amanda, and Kelsie; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one niece and nephew; three great nephews; two great nieces; and one great great niece many cousins; and his devoted caregiver and dear friend Kathy Botelho-Rogers and her husband Bob of New Bedford. He was the brother of the late Norman Perry and Leola Wilke.

His funeral will be Friday, October 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
