Rosanna F. (Darcy) Brouillette, 98, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Southeastern Mass Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Alfred Brouillette and the late Joseph Raphael.
Born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Cesaire and Rosanna (Lacourse) Darcy.
Mrs. Brouillette worked as a stitcher at the former State’s Night Wear for 30 years, retiring in 1962. Her interests included knitting, crocheting and hook rugs.
Survivors include a son, Alfred O. Brouillette and his wife Vivianne of Acushnet; a sister, Delima Genard of Acushnet; grandchildren, Michelle Hardman of New Bedford, Kathleen St. John and her husband Thomas of Rochester and Michael Brouillette of Acushnet; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Noelle Hardman of New Bedford and Nathaniel and Caleb St. John of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rosario, Joseph, Omer and Gene Darcy.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT FAIRLAWN, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven.
