Dorothy D Collins (nee: Ostrander) age 95, was born in Salisbury, CT on January 20, 1925 and passed away in Akron, OH on February 26, 2020.

She is survived by her sons Gary (Debbie) Collins and Jan (Pam) Collins; daughter-in-law Susan Collins; sisters Kate Baslow of Massachusetts and Barbara (Gary) O’Brien of Maine; brother Ed (Dorothy) Ostrander of Massachusetts; grandchildren Tracie Titus, Jessica Collins, Cristina (Jason) Drew, Anthony (Stacey) Collins, Cody L Stewart, Sean and Aaron Sargent, Nicole (Zack) Rapier, Steven Grepke, Richard and T.J. Roth; great-grandchildren Hannah, Mayoree, Carson, Ethan, Tyler, Parker, Addison, McKenzie, Zachery, Brooke, Alex, Nathaniel, Austin, Colton, Tabitha and Shaelyn; great-great-grandchildren Maylee and Justin. All were loved dearly.

Dorothy joins in heaven her best friend and companion for 34 years Bobby J Goodloe, her parents Arthur & Gladys Ostrander, daughter Linda L Collins, son Cody L Collins, Jr. and sister Mary Tribble.

Family will receive friends on Saturday March 7th from 11:00 AM – 1:00PM with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home 3653 W Market St Akron, OH 44333. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rosehillbp.com

Sister Dot was a special lady for all that knew her. She would make you feel so at home in her home and would be at home in your home. Will always remember our trips to Ohio. Love you and will miss you. RIP

back in 1990 we came to Ohio for a family get together and we went out to dinner one night and Dorothy saw this teddy bear in a rocking chair with a baby bear in its lap . the heart shaped sign had SISTER on it! when i was in the restroom she bought that for me and to this day i still have it ! she was one awesome Sister to me and i will always remember that day in my heart and memories of that sweet wonderful women! R.I.P. my special Sister

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of my cousin Dorothy She was a wonderful and Beautiful person I loved her very much . I visited her in Ohio and she came to see my mom and dad and me for picnics at my parents home. We had nice memories I will always remember. May she RIP she had a good life. To her children and grandchildren etc. My husband and I give you condolences and May God Bless you all.
