Seda was born on July 19, 1941 in Tehran, Iran to Arzrooni and Janet (nee Avanessian) Megerdichian who preceded her death. Also preceding her death was her dear husband of 48 years, Herbert Baldwin.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Janet (Chuck) Fiske of Collinsville, Il., Maxine (Charles) Swarts of Westchester, Il., and Tiffany (Lew Thomasino) Baldwin of Fairview Heights, Il.; 5 grandchildren: Josie (fiancé Jason Epps) Fiske, Jared Fiske, Charlie Swarts, and Silas and Gemma Thomasino; a brother, Mac (Sylvia) Megerdichian of Alta Loma, CA, a niece, Teena (Anthony Mosby) Megerdichian of Pasadena, CA, a nephew, Aren (Bree) Megerdichian of Sherman Oaks, CA, and many other dear relatives and friends.
Seda was a homemaker, then a long-time retail associate at Dillard’s until her retirement in 1994. She was loving mother and devoted grandmother -- a frequent presence at grandparents’ breakfasts, recitals, and graduations. Seda also loved her church family at Holy Shoghagat Armenian Church and was an active member of the Women’s Guild. She enjoyed the weekly baking at the church with her dear friends. Seda loved to draw and create, even if it was just doodling faces on her ‘to-do’ lists. While she didn’t travel as much her adventurous spirit liked, Seda was happy to tour her “motherland” of Armenia with friends in 2006 and then, in 2016, celebrate her 75th birthday in London where, as a consummate Downton Abbey fan, the highlight was a visit of Highclere Castle.
