William Charles Carvelot, 77, of Caseyville, IL, born, September 30, 1940, in Granite City, IL, passed away, May 1, 2018, at his home with his loving family by his side.

William was a devoted and dedicated husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was dedicated to his community and country, by serving in the United States Army. He was also a volunteer fire fighter and an emergency medical technician, in Caseyville and French Village. He worked as a warehouse supervisor for Edison Brothers in St Louis for 28 years, and then for U.S oil for 5 years, until his retirement. Aside from having a resilient work ethic, William possessed a loving persona.

He married the love of his life, Marolyn Anderson, on November 19, 1966 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Caseyville, IL. This union brought 2 sons, Scott and Gary. He also enjoyed watching hockey games, cooking shows, playing softball, listening to blue grass music, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He was a man of faith, having been a member of the Heartland Church, in Caseyville and served as a greeter. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; William and Marie (nee Perry) Carvelot and his sister, Carol Greek.

Surviving to cherish memories are his loving wife of 51 years, Marolyn (nee Anderson) Carvelot, his sons; Scott (Cheryl) Carvelot and Gary (Kyra) Carvelot, his grandchildren; William (Loree) Carvelot and Lisa Corvelot, his great-granddaughter, Natalia Pepmiller, his sister, Rosemarie May, and a number of dear relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends and family may visit from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Lake View Funeral Home, located at 5000 N. Illinois Street Fairview Heights, IL 62208.

Funeral Service: Funeral Services will be held the following day at 10:00 am, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Lake View Funeral Home. Interment to take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
