Alfonso "Bumper" Carpentier, Jr. earned his angel wings on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at a hospital in San Antonio at the age of 24. He was born on December 27, 1993 in Willmar, Minnesota to Alfonso Carpentier and Dina Skaalerud. Bumper has a contagious smile and warm heart. He loved spending time with the people he loved.

He was reunited in Heaven with his sister, Jackie Yaneth Carpentier.

Bumper leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories his father, Alfonso (Rocio) Carpentier of Hebbronville, Texas; mother, Dina Skaalerud of Minnesota; brothers, Russell Skaalerud and Arnoldo Carpentier both of Hebbronville and Jordan Nebo of Minnesota; sisters, Alinna Joanna Carpentier of Hebbronville and Elizabeth Nebo of Minnesota; paternal grandparents, Alejandro and Maria Carpentier of Hebbronville; maternal grandparents, Carlotta Skaalerud and Russell Skaalerud of Minnesota and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Pallbearers will be John Garza, Carlos Flores, Carlos Carpentier, Adan Carpentier, Jr., Alfredo Carpentier, Jr. and Isaiah Carpentier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Arnold Carpentier and Russell Skaalerud.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
