Celia H. Esquivel

Celia H. Esquivel entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Christus Spohn Hospital-South in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 70. She was born on June 30, 1944 to Luz Esquivel and Carolina Hinojosa Esquivel in Falfurrias, Texas. Celia worked for over 20 years at Haggar Clothing Factory in Robstown, Texas and when they closed down she became a Dietary Aide for Harbor Lights Home Health for the following 10 years. Celia also taught Sunday school for over 40 years and was a longtime member at the Primera Asamblea de Dios Church in Corpus Christi. She loved to travel, bake and take pictures of just about everything. Scrapbooking was one of her favorite hobbies and she was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan you could find.

She was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; her sister, Lucy Rodriguez and her brother, Joel Esquivel. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her eight loving siblings; Lidia (Ralph) Perez, Maria Conner and Becky Ortega all of Corpus Christi, Daniel (Maria) Esquivel of Las Cruces, NM, Elias (Connie) Esquivel of Carpentersville, IL, Eliezar (Alicia) Esquivel of Spring Valley, IL, Lucio (Annie) Esquivel of Rock Falls, IL and Josue (Dinah) Esquivel of La Verne CA; numerous nieces and nephews and many great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chris and Alvin Luz Conner, Ralph Perez, Timothy and Josh Esquivel and Richard Barrera. Honorary Pallbearers are Josh Barrera and Nel Rodriguez.

Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
