Edna Salinas Cavazos

Edna S. Cavazos passed away peacefully from this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Premier Assisted Living Home in Alice, Texas after a gradual decline in her health. Edna was born on September 21, 1932 to Zaragosa Salinas, Sr. and Carolina Ramirez Salinas in Concepcion, Texas. She was blessed with 87 years of life where she was able to make many memories that her family will cherish forever. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and visiting with family members.

Edna was reunited in Heaven with her parents; husband, Jesus Cavazos; sisters, Minerva (Gavino) Navarro and Eva Salinas; son-in-law, Oscar Garcia and brother-in-law, Genovevo Del Bosque.

She is survived by her four children, Carolina (“Curly”) Cervantes-Munoz of Freer, Texas, Yolanda Garcia of Benavides, Texas, Mariselda (Raul) Garcia of Benavides and Aguinaldo Cavazos of Concepcion; brother, Zaragosa “Sonny” (Gloria) Salinas, Jr. of Alice, Texas; sister, Elva Del Bosque of Falfurrias, Texas; seven grandchildren, Reuben Austin Munoz, Wanda (A.R., Sr.) Canales, Oscar Rene (Crystal) Garcia, Jr., Jessica Renee (Zachary) Hink and Joe Anthony (Monyca) Garcia, Edna Lee Garcia, and Criselda Marie Garcia ; 9 great-grandchildren, Heidi E. Munoz, Jonathan Canales, Brandon Canales, A.R. Canales, Jr., Javier Cardenas, Jr., Miranda R. Garcia, Kaydence M. Garcia, Oscar R. Garcia, III, Tobias M. Garcia numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
