Willie Mae DeSpain
September 7, 1934 – January 13, 2023

Willie Mae DeSpain passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior January 13, 2023. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Sharecroppers, William Newton Cooper and Alice Myrtle Hudson Cooper. She grew up to be intelligent and productive and worked for over 35 years with John Hancock. She was married to Irvin DeSpain, Jr. and together they enjoyed hunting and fishing. She also loved gardening, sewing, painting and was a wonderful cook.
Her parents, husband and all her siblings have preceded Willie in death.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and will be missed by all.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
