He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of Maria Luis (Tavares) Torres and the late Eduino Dos Santos Torres. Mr. Torres was the owner of Torres Dairy in Dartmouth for over 20 years.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his five children; Cheryl Costa and her husband Joao, Fernando M. Torres, Ashley Torres, Jordan Torres and Jonathan Torres all of Fall River; six brothers and sisters; Antonio Torres, Floriana Sousa, Eduino Torres, Rosa Furtado, Joao Torres and Caterina Torres; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 8am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by his funeral mass at 9am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Bedford St., Fall River. Visiting hours Friday from 5 to 8PM. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
