
Born in Fall River daughter of the late Henry and Nora (McHenry) Hindle, she was a lifelong resident of the city, and a graduate of Durfee High School Class of 1940. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Boston University and in 1958 she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Columbia University in New York City.
She was a US Navy veteran of the “Waves” in World War II, serving as a storekeeper 2nd class. Grace was a Professor of Nursing for 20 years at Bristol Community College retiring in 1980.
She is survived by her two sisters Mary H. Plasski of Fall River and Eleanor Hindle of Swansea and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ambrose, Henry, Richard, Carlton and Ruth Hindle.
Her funeral will take place on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 8:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River, followed by a funeral mass at 10am in Holy Rosary Church 120 Beattie St., Fall River. Visiting hours Friday prior to her mass from 8:30 – 9:30AM. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Fall River.
