Jane has always been so special to me. Back in 1991 Jane was my visiting nurse after I had some complications after a surgery. Jane was so compassionate and patient with me and my family while teaching them how to care for me. I was a wife and mother, but had not found my professional calling in life, and over the time that she took care of me, Jane and I became very close and she encouraged me to become a nurse myself.
I found myself with a desire to become a nurse and I wanted to work in home care like Jane and help people the way she helped me!
After a while when I was healed, I took Jane’s advice...enrolled in college and became an RN. I went to work at Charlton Memorial Hospital to gain experience and then I applied to work at VNA of Southeastern MA...the agency where Jane worked. Homecare became my passion and I was so blessed to work side by side with Jane at VNASM for several years.
My heart hurts knowing Jane has passed away, but I will always treasure my memories of her and credit her for guiding me to be the nurse I am today.
Rest in the Sweetest Peace my friend, Fly free!
My deepest sympathies to the entire Schieri Family...Jane was so special!

My condolences ism greatly saddened to hear of Janes passing she always had a positive mental attitude. You could always talk to her and know her advice was good. Some of my greatest memories of my are when i was invited over as young child playing in the swimming pool ,their backwoods ,backyard cookouts with melissa or dan . Or the times we would all go over to joel and jasons house to play wiffleball in teir backyard. Being pulled around in in the sled with mellissa and dan by jayjay. If we ever got hurt Jane always knew what to and do to make it right. I always felt safe and loved by Jane Vin Melissa and Dan. I am deeply saddened by your loss

Jane was a warm, caring, cheerful VNA nurse during my mother's last days in 1999. In spite of the pain she was enduring, mom always anticipated Jane's visits, comforting words, and thoughtful attention to her needs. May God reward her for her years of loving service to others.
