He was not famous beyond his family, church and neighborhood.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, a Catholic, neighbor and friend.
Even more, he was a scientist, a mechanic, a gardener, a waiter, a money counter, an usher, a problem solver ……. the man to call when you needed help.
He didn’t seem to know how to say no. He didn’t walk to your aid…. He ran.
In recent years he added to his list of talents…. Caregiver, pharmacist, launderer, grocery shopper, cook and housekeeper. He did it willingly from his love for Helen.
How could a man of Louie’s stature be so large? Within his earthly body beat a super human heart.
We all assumed that his energy was limitless, but God said “NO”.
I wonder! Did Louie need a rest? Or did God need help?
We will miss him. He was truly one of a kind.
Farewell.
