Randy had a long career devoted to serving our country. Starting with his Marine Corp enlistment during the Vietnam era, to finishing 38 years later as a modeler of Weapons of Mass Destruction for the Pentagon Protection Force. He enjoyed research and helping colleagues. Helping others is a consistent attribute of Randy’s, he also demonstrated that consistently with his family.
Randy especially enjoyed helping his niece and nephews in all their area’s of interest – whether it be following SPOT coordinates of Boy Scout trips, preparing to work in our National Park System or preparing for IT Certifications, he was there to lend a helping hand, recommend a book, or just to encourage their chosen path. None will forget their college years either, where his financial contribution had a direct correlation to limiting & lowering their student loan debt.
Randy is preceded in death by his twin brother Ronald and his parents, Joyce and Robert Bocock of Falls Church, VA. He leaves behind a sister Cindy Bishop, a younger brother Robert “Bender” Bocock, a niece Bonnie and nephews Wesley, Grayson and Joseph Bishop, a large extended family of cousins and friends and colleagues that he worked with for years.
