Julian Wilbur Walthall, Jr,. of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on September 25, 2023. He was 85 years old. Born in Savannah, Georgia on July 18, 1938 to his beloved parents, the late Julian and Ruth Walthall, he spent his formative years in Macon. His childhood was spent as any mischievous young boy, getting into a bit of good trouble, fishing, and watching his favorite westerns at the local movie theater. Julian graduated from the Lanier High School for Boys before heading to Atlanta, where he studied engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. After college, he was proud to have served in the US Army for five years and then embarked on a career as a commercial pilot for United Airlines.
Julian met his beloved wife, Christine, through the serendipitous connection of mutual friends. They fell deeply in love, moved to Florida and enjoyed nearly 40 years together. They worked together as Realtors opening up Walthall Real Estate, Inc. They proudly raised their two children, David and Julia, and Julian was ever the devoted husband and father. He attended their high school sports events and piano recitals, spent countless hours at the beach and enjoyed time boating in retirement. Many happy memories for them are tied to the Florida coast, where he would spend his remaining years. Julian passed away at home with his devoted daughter, Julia, at his bedside. He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine, and his heavenly grandson, Jack, his parents Julian and Ruth, and his sister, Kay. He is survived by David Wilder Walthall (Sarah), Julia Martena Walthall and his grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia-Grace, and Isaac.
