She was 97 years old and lived a full life of care and service to her family and church. She was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis and worked for several Catholic organizations throughout her career, retiring at the age of 65 as the assistant to the Dean of the Law School at St. John’s University, Queens, N. Y.
She was born in 1923 in Brooklyn, N. Y. to Edward and Katharine (Ferren) Coulon. Her life-long love of learning resulted in an associate’s degree from St. John’s University.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sisters, Helen Ebert and Harriet Wenzel, as well as her nephews, John Wenzel and Paul Wenzel, and his wife, Joan. She is survived by her niece, Ann Wenzel, nephew, Edward Wenzel, his wife, Melissa, and many beloved grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
