Dearest Larry,Taryn,Bill and Mark,
My heart breaks for all of you and the rest of you family of the sudden death of Steve. There were many facets to him that most of us didn't know, he was quite well thought of in the Freeport community. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews as well as his 3xtended family. I know too well the loss of a brother is very painful but know he is with you in your hearts. I love you all. Metzie.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was a good friend in high school; very smart and very kind. We lost touch after high school, but I still remember his warm smile and keen sense of humor. He will be missed by all.

I just learned of the loss of Steve today !! He was a friend and a valuable member of the LI Arts Council at Freeport. He was a kind, smart and wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew him. If Jim Robinson hadn't reached out to us, we never would have know of his passing. Our hearts go out to his family and all of his friends.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Steve's death. He was my neighbor and friend from 1959 through Freeport High School Class of 1967. He was a popular student there, as attested to by many postings on our class Facebook page. We lost touch after our college years, but spoke and emailed about four years ago, promising to meet in Manhattan sometime. Sadly, that never happened. He had a keen mind, a big heart and a good soul.
