Charles J. Valestin Sr., age 98, November 26, 2019. Beloved husband of Gloria; loving father of Charles J. Jr. and David R. (Roxane); cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Adam) Wildman and Kimberly (Brent) Harner and great grandfather of Reed, Watson, Caden and Kayla; dear brother of Robert and the late James, Edward and Rudolph; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. A visitation for Charles will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM until services at 12:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL 60130. Entombment to follow in the Eternal Light Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL 60130. I knew Charles Valestin from our CSA meetings. He was a very nice man who always had a smile. I was very happy to know that he was honored at the Cubs game for his service to our country. His family should remember him with great pride, just as his fellow CSA members do. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
