Kathern Karry Dampier

Kathern “Katie” Dampier, 96, of Fort Myers passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born in Plant City, Florida on April 28, 1925 to John Archie and Jennie Williams.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd, her grandson, Steve Dampier and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Frank (Fran McEwen) Dampier; her “adopted son” Calvin Day and her “adopted daughter” Ivana (John) Smallwood; grandsons: Charles (Amie) Dampier, Dean (Karen) Dampier and Kenny (Kim) Dampier; many great grandchildren and her brother, Archie Williams.

Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 15th from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathern’s name would be appreciated to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle Fort Myers, FL 33908.

Great Grandma was definitely the highlight of our family. She loved and cared everyone in the family and had a heart of gold. I will miss you deeply Great Grandma. We shared so many memories I will never forget. You are now flying high with Great grandpa, grandma Lavonne and my dad (Steve Dampier). Until we see each other again. I love you Great Grandma. RIP 💙
