Ruby Charlotte Askins

Charlotte Askins, 87 passed away on Saturday, July 28 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce. Charlotte was born in Kenosha, WI. Coming from Glenview, IL, she has been a resident of Fort Pierce and Vero Beach for the past 55 years. During most of her years, Charlotte was a homemaker and she also worked outside the home in various businesses, including the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Vero Beach, and had been a 49 year member of Bible Baptist Church of Fort Pierce where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Charlotte had been involved in the ladies clubs of both churches. Her survivors include her daughters, Barbara Norman of Vero Beach, Sheryl Gladin of Virginia Beach, VA, son, Daniel Askins of Bolingbrook, IL and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Luther. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30, August 2nd at Bible Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make contributions in Charlotte’s memory to Bible Baptist Church at 4401 South 25th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34981 or Grace Baptist Church at 1285 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32966. Our family's were close AT Bible Baptist church for meny years . Charlotte was a great children's teacher . I really miss those days .wishing the family well,will pray for them.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We were blessed to have known Mr. & Mrs. Askins for many years and served as their pastor for a short time as well. They were dedicated and faithful servants to our Lord. In love, Bro. Bob & Patsy Green
