Aline S. McCoubrey

Aline S. McCoubrey, 97 of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017. She was born October 3, 1920 in Franklin County, AR to the late Claud and Sarah Sallis. She was a retired secretary for Bost School, a member of Goddard United Methodist Church where she served as past president of UMW, past church financial secretary and membership secretary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam McCoubrey; two brothers, Hoyle Sallis and Lyndon Sallis and two sisters, Gladys Sallis and Genevieve Hambric.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her son, Scott McCoubrey and his wife Jean; a granddaughter, Tracy Houston and her husband James; three great grandchildren, Sara Keene and her husband Cody, Sam Houston, Hannah Houston and two great-great grandchildren, Flynn and Emory Keene.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Dalke, Todd Graves, Jesse Lewis, Mike Mankin, Ron Plunkett and Frank Sprick. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Sallis, Steven Sallis, Mike Sallis, David Cagle and the Goddard Church Ushers.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
