I was lead guitar for the Intakes, the high school rock n roll band along with Billy as lead singer and front man, Dale Conley on bass, Johnny Carol Scott on drums. JD Reichart and Ralph Palmer on guitara.  Man was that fun or what!  I'm Larry Daws and I love Bill like a brother.

Wow, what do I say.  I first met Bill as a vendor to him in Las Vegas over 15 years ago and I knew after the first meeting that we were in for a long and great friendship not just a working relationship. Bill was a man of his word, honest, helpful and great to sit with eat and tell jokes and stories. Oh did he have some stories and jokes. Now a days, men like Bill are not made anymore but I am sure that everyone that ever met him took something away with them I know I have.  Sharron, I miss you two and I wish that I could have come to celebrate Bill but know in my heart that I pray for the both of you.
I will miss you Bill and thank you for everything.

I am at a loss for words, I worked with Bill and for Bill for years. I didn't see him much after he moved to Las Vegas, except when he came back to visit family for the holidays. I am going to miss him. He truly was one of the good guys. .RI.P. Brother.                                                               

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Sharon, Dana, and the Gupton family.  You could not have met a nicer fellow than Bill he was the most likeable person anyone could have been lucky enough to meet.   We had a great time working together and exchanging funny emails and I will miss him so much.

My heart has broken when I heard the news.  I met Bill almost 20 years ago in business.  He immediately made me feel like I was something special.  He always cared for me and spent additional time being kind.  He and Sharon let my  child come stay at their home in Las Vegas.  There was nothing he wouldn't do if he cared for you and there was always time to be extra kind.  I will miss him dearly.

I was in a band with Bill in high school ... The Intakes.  Bill, me, Dale Conley, Johnny Scott and JD Reichard.  Some off the best days of our young lives.  Man, could Billy sing!

Bill never showed up to an appointment empty handed.  I'm glad to know that I have a drawer full of Sigma Supply pens he gave me during numerous sales calls and lunches.  Every time I use one I'll have a fond memory of Bill.

My prayers and love go to the Gupton family and friends.  Bill was my favorite......always spoke with a smile in his voice.  I never met him in person but we had a wonderful connection and friendship.  I will truly miss him.  Lovingly, Leslie Riesen   

Me and Bill grew up across the street when we where kids, went to the same high school . We played in bands together. Bill is a great singer. Bill got my me my first job in the paper business at Arkansas Paper Co. We later worked together at Carpenter Paper. I was in the paper business for 37 years all thanks to Bill
He will be missed

No words to express my sorrow.   I met Bill through work almost 40 years ago and  we worked together for 25 plus years.   To say we became close friends would be an understatement.   I had not been in contact with him much at all after he moved to Vegas but thought about him and Sharon often.   My prayers are with the whole family praying for peace and comfort.     

My deepest sympathy to Sharon and family. So many good memories of Billy while we were kids. Time goes entirely too quickly.

We were Arkoma kid’s growing up together in small town America.  We began school together, played sport’s together, went to church together.  Just like a Norman Rockwell painting.  Our parent’s all knew each other.  Some kid’s stand out a little more than other’s and Billy was one of those kid’s.  Billy had a smile that lit up the room and the cutest dimples that would melt your heart.  Billy married Sharon who was a good friend and fellow classmate.  Looking at the pictures of the two of them, you could see the love they had for each other.  Billy’s light shone bright and I suspect that his light shine’s even brighter in Heaven.  He will be missed.
