Hallie Lee Standard
December 11, 1922 – March 24, 2021
Hallie Lee Standard, 98, of Fort Smith, passed from this life March 24, 2021, in Fort Smith. Hallie was born June 21, 1922, in Ewing, Nebraska, to Alfred and Jessie Knierim Wunner. She worked as a secretary for Union Pacific Railroad before moving to Fort Smith. Hallie volunteered at the Fort Smith Welcome Center and was a member at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
Hallie is survived by her daughter Linda Standard of Canton, Georgia, as well as a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Keith Standard.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 3300 South 70th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903, or First United Methodist Church, 200 North 15th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.

Was so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. As you know, she and your dad were very special people in our lives. Mother and Daddy thought the world of them and my son, Christian was very privileged and honored to have them as his Godparents. Even though we had lost touch with her lately, she (& your dad) will always remain in our hearts.
