I was 16 when you came into my life. And for 20 years I was proud to have you as my bonus dad. You were always there when I needed someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, or just to give me a hard time just because you could. You were the best papa to my kids. They are still to young to understand what a loss not having you here with them will be. But must of all thank you for loving my momma.

Hi. Daddy. I miss you. I think about you everyday and I can’t believe your gone. You were the best dad and I know you loved me so much. I miss the stories you use to tell and our long talks about history and your hugs. I am so heart broken and I will miss you forever but I’m thankful that I had you as my dad and that you were a part of my life and an amazing grandpa to my kids. Forever, love Erin.

I was 27 years old when I first saw my dad. I could tell right away that he wasn't like the other dads. He cussed like a sailor and said what he thought. He was honest and smart and wasn't afraid to be himself. I am so lucky to have had him in my life. It feels like I didn't get enough time with him and I hope he knew how much I loved him. I will miss him.
I love you dad.
