Robert Riviera, 63, of Fort Smith, passed from this life August 15, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born May 14, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Robert A. and Lora Salazar Rivera. Robert was a veteran of U.S. Army, had worked as a Master Plumber and was a member of Parkview Alliance Church in Van Buren. He loved being outdoors and nature, collecting rocks and fishing. Robert was Second Chief for the Natchez Nation.
He is survived by his wife, Louellen; his children, Kristi King and her husband Jarrod, Samuel Riviera and his wife Jessica, Nahia Joe Riviera and Bonnee Sonora and her husband Luciano; his grandchildren, Christopher, Cora and Myra King, Julia and Draven Riviera and Scarlett Sonora; his brothers and sisters, John, Steve, Loretta, Olga, Patricia, Jon, Jacob and Debra.
A memorial graveside service, with U.S. Army Honors, will be 2:00pm Thursday August 23, 2018 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
