I have many memories of Uncle Elzy but I fondly remember that I never saw him when he didn’t have a smile on his face. He and my dad  were a lot alike and when they were together you knew there were many stories to be told about them and Uncle Jack growing up. 
I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Elzy in the late Spring, early Summer (mushroom time) as he always called me to find out if I’d found any yet. 
When I put on the addition at our house up north, Uncle Elzy and my Dad helped me lay the bricks. All I remember is me doing the heavy lifting while they put them in place. This was the last time I saw them together and we had such a great time. I’m sure he and his brothers have a lot to talk about since they’re all together now. I know he sure missed Aunt Betty and I’m glad that they’re reunited again as well. 
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and this is the end of an era as Uncle Elzie is now I’m with all of his brothers, sisters and his parents. May you rest in Peace.

My condolences to his family. Your house is on my walking route and in years past,  we would dicuss the neighborhood when he was outside. Your happy memories of him will always be with you to help you get through this.  The neighborhood has lost  a number of good people these past years and we think about them when walking by their  houses.
