Frederick A. “Fred” Buuck, 88, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1924 in New Haven, the son of Paul and Martha (Preuss) Buuck. He served in WWII as a Marine in the South Pacific until 1946. He began his career at ITT, working there for 17 years. He retired from Tokheim as an electrical engineer in 1988. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Vonna (Maddux) Buuck of Fort Wayne; sons, Douglas (Sally) Buuck of Punta Gorda, Florida and David (Sydney) Buuck of Prunedale, California; four grandchildren, Philip, David (Amy), Laura, and Scotty; and great granddaughter, Phoebe Joy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. A memorial service will be held January 3, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr., Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation 2 hours prior. Rev. Donald Porter officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Gardens. Memorials may be made to the church or to Worship for Shut-ins.
