FREDRICK W. BERGMAN, JR., 97, of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday, May 8, 2010, 4 p.m., at his home. Born Dec. 21, 1912, in Fort Wayne, he served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Electric as a Security Guard in 1978, after 37+ years of service. He was also a member of V.F.W. New Haven, American Legion and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He is survived by a sister, Virginia Brunner of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Dawn (Jeff) Miller of Fort Wayne; and two great-granddaughters, Ariel and Mariah Miller of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick W. Bergman, Sr.; his wife, Kathleen (Emerick) Bergman; and son, Thomas Bergman. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 West Wayne Street, with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor Don Sandman officiating.
