Anita was an extraoridnary woman. She touch everyone's life in a special way.  Her family will miss her greatly!

So many great memories over the years, swapping stories and talking dogs often late into the night.  I was fortunate to have a friend of such warmth and breadth of knowledge, with a keen eye for a dog and an indomitable spirit.

Anita, I'll miss you. But I'm sure you're very busy at the Bridge right now with all the critters you loved and helped over the years.

It can truly be said that Anita was a free spirit and "one of a kind".  She was an encyclopedia of all things Basenji.  Her sole regret as she advanced in age was that she could not continue to be as active as she used to be.  She will be sorely missed but always remembered as a passionate advocate for the responsible breeding and care of our beloved Basenjis.  When we gather once again at our annual  Christmas party, there will be an empty chair at the table in her honor.  We may even draw a number from the bowl so she can participate in one last gift exchange!  

Anita was one of the best Medical Technologists I ever had the privilege of hiring and working with!   She was brilliant with statistics, quality and everyday running of her department.  I also really enjoyed all her Basenji stories.  I know how she adored them.  May you Rest In Peace, Anita.

No fair, you left for the big show ahead of me!  Nudge your way through the pack at the end of the bridge and grab a couple of seats on the diagonal. I'll be along later.

So very sorry for your loss, many prayers & comforting thoughts sent your way in your time of grief. Thank you Anita for all that you did for Basenjis.

Anita was not only an important and valued member of the DFW Basenji Club from it's beginning and an invaluable source of Basenji knowledge and wisdom, she was, also, a champion for our breed and did more then her share of rescuing Basenjis in need.  If it had not been for Anita I would not have had my precious rescues to love and cherish.  She brought my beautiful Zoee, handsome Lenee, and sweet old Mr. Elway into my life and I will be forever grateful.  Anita was a great lady who I will miss more then I can express in words.

Anita was one of the first Basenji people to extend a hand of friendship when I came to Texas in 1977.  I will never forget the good times we had traveling to shows together and all the help she gave me in learning to show Basenjis.  I got my first show Basenji from her and never looked back.  So many memories, so many good times.  She will long be missed.

Anita always gave good, sound advice to novices, like me. And when she quit showing, she didn't stop showing up. And she gave back even more, fostering difficult re-homes for BRAT, and then placing them, even when she wanted to keep them safe with her forever. I will miss you, terribly, Anita. Please keep our fur-babies company until we can join you all on the other side of the bridge. Are there dogs in Heaven? There must be! Why else would we want to be there?
