J. "Jay" E. Adams

FORT WORTH -- J.E. "Jay" Adams passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Jay served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and received the National Defence Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked at Lockheed as a flight line mechanic and retired after 30 years of service. He was an avid and accomplished bowler and was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Survivors: His son, Darrell and his wife, Molly, and their daughter, Grace Adams; daughter, Brenda Adams Anderson and her children, Kelsie and Corey of Burleson; nephews, Dwight and his wife, Jean Driver, and their son, James, of Fort Scott, Kan., and Billy and his wife, Pam Driver, of Wichita, Kan.; nieces, Saundra Henderson and her children, Sunday, Rachael and Lucas of Fort Worth, Vonda Cahill of Quincy, Mass., Jere McKlaney of Palm Bay, Fla., and Dewie Robertson of Coral Gables, Fla.

Arrangements under the direction of Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.
