Her Legacy
Lemona Irene Landrum met her Lord and Savior on November 6th, 2018. She was 87 years of age. Funeral services will be held at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:00am. Interment will take place on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 1:15pm at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX.
Lemona was born on July 21, 1931 to parents, Harry and Cleo Watson, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She spent time growing up in Arkansas and the Tulsa area. Mona grew up with a thorough mix of Presbyterian and Assemblies of God religious backgrounds.
As a young adult, Mona Irene worked at a local drug store with her friend Colleen, who would soon become her sister-in-law after introducing Mona to her brother Howard. After a few months of dating, Howard and Mona were married. They raised two sons together, Don and Guy. Howard began his career in the Army and Mona became a member of the Officer’s Wives Club.
Lemona’s life was a testament to the Lord and his love and was filled with family who stood by her and followed in her convictions. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Glenn Landrum, Glenda, their daughter who lived 3 days before going home to the Lord in Bartlesville, OK, her brother George Watson, and Pat Ann Landrum her daughter-in-law. She is survived by her sons Donnie Glenn Landrum and Guy Victor Landrum, her daughter-in-law Olga Landrum, and grandchildren, Christy Limbocker and husband Kenneth Limbocker, Rusty Landrum and wife Veronica Landrum, Kelly Chisum and husband Chris Chisum, Angela Cox and husband Jeremy Cox, and Amanda Foster and husband LT (Lyric) Foster, as well as 14 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
