Uncle Nick. As your niece and an Army wife of 42 years, I was always proud of your military service. Your sister Lydia Trevino Rodriguez, my mother, gave me your paratrooper wings when she felt she could no longer keep them safe--she is now 99 years old. I wore them proudly to many events and functions honoring our military veterans and shared some of your stories. I now have your sister and will take care of her until her time comes to meet you and Tia Elvira in heaven. May God receive you with open arms and comfort those loved ones you left behind. You and mom have had a great life and leave a rich legacy for us to build on.
