Syble Lee Long

September 23, 1924October 28, 2010

FORT WORTH -- Syble L. Long, our angel, took flight on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home, Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Officiating: Bill Wissore. Pallbearers: Jeff Raney, Jerry Tanner, Karl Butler, Jimmy Barnard, Jerry Barnard and Randel Barnard. Born Sept. 23, 1924, she established Pre-Teen Camp at her church and worked tirelessly for the Salvation Army and Angel Tree. She exemplified how to live a Christian life and served as a role model to us all. She dedicated her life to the service of the Lord and her family and friends. Survivors: Those who will always cherish her memory are daughters, Vicki, Donna and Rhonda; her son Richard's children, Jeff and Alexia; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Marshall, Jack, Ferris and Verity; sisters, Virginia, Darleen and JoAnn; she also adored her numerous nieces and nephews.

To Syble's Family, I learned to love and respect Syble thru the IRS VITA program where I represented the IRS in Ft. Worth.
She truly cared for people and gave of herself to help them year after year. We will miss her greatly.
