Louis John Kochaniec

Retired Army Command Sergeant Major Kochaniec faithfully and honorably served the United States for 26 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He lived over half his life in beautiful Fountain, Colorado.

After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the casino and his red wine. He was an avid reader and liked putting together 1000 piece puzzles. He kept his mind sharp working crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his children Debra; Mary; David; Steve; Nancy; and numerous grandchildren. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a generous man with his own unique sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary; 6630 South US Hwy 85/87 in Fountain, Colorado. Burial with full military honors will commence at 9:00 am at Pikes Peak National Cemetery; 10545 Drennan Road in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
