Mary K. Massie was born in Las Animas, CO. on Nov. 7, 1926 to her parents Walter and Eugenie McAfee. Mary passed in Colorado Springs, CO on January 12, 2015. Her and her parents moved to Scott City, KS. in 1936 where she graduated from Scott City High School in 1945. She met her husband Lloyd Massie in 1947 and then married on Jan. 29, 1949. Mary K. and her family moved to Fountain in 1971. She worked as a secretary at Lorraine Elementary from 1974 where she retired in 1994. Mary K. was preceded in death by Lloyd Massie and parents Walter and Eugenie McAfee. She is survived by her four children (Janice Massie, Karen Hiller, Nancy Harding, and Howard Massie) and five grandchildren (Joshua Martinez, Alyssa Massie, Matthew Dellacroce, Heather Massie, and Austin Harding). Services will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church beginning with the rosary at 9:30am and followed by services at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
