I, too, shared the 4PM to 1AM shift and met Ann. I'll always remember Ann saying, "Nelly, the sun doesn't shine everyday. If it did, we wouldn't appreciate it". She was a special person. I am sorry to hear of her passing, but I hope her last years were happy.

Wow .. I am so sorry to hear this. I lost contact with Ann about 8 years back.. I was wondering if she still lived in Windsor court and a friend of my mine Betty Seitz Anderson told me about this.. Pete and Sam .. This is Mike Becker.. My mother and Ann were very close. You both have my prayers and sympathy for your loss. If you ever need to contact me my number is 252-723-6537 . I hope she did not suffer.. I know The Lord, Her and my Mom are having a wonderful time in Heaven..

I met Ann when we both worked for Delta Air Lines in Reservations Sales in the 70s and 80s. Like Vicci, I too would sometimes work the 4:30 pm to 1 am shift. Ann worked the overnight shift and seemed to know how to handle any situation that might arise. She was a friendly, helpful, and generous co-worker. I am so glad that I got to know her. Even now I can hear her voice as she answered each call with "Delta Air Lines, Miss Slovensky."

I knew and worked with Ann from the day she transferred from New York to Washington Reservations. She was a hard worker who seemed to enjoy her new position. As Vicci has indicated she voluntarily chose to work the midnight shift (most of which she was the sole worker). She always strived to do her work in a cheerful manner.

My shift at Delta Air Lines reservations (back in the mid-70's) would sometimes overlap with Ann's midnight shift. I was new and have fond memories of Ann always being willing to answer any question I had. Sometimes from midnight to 1 A.M., we'd be two of maybe three of four agents answering the phones so resources were limited for a new agent's questions! I left reservations at the end of the 70's and lost touch with Ann. I hope she eventually happily retired and enjoyed every day of it! My condolences to her family.
