Daymond was a classmate of mine at Berry Elementary and Berry High, though I hadn't seen him since he left Berry. I've thought of him many times over the years since then, and will always recall how cheerful he always seemed to be. Always carrying on with his pranks and jokes. I looked over the many photos in the obit, and he looked like he was really proud of him family. He was a character back then, who I considered a friend, and have always regretted not getting to talk to him again over the many years. I know his was a life well lived, and may he Rest In Peace.
(I heard about him passing and found his obit on the internet.)

Daymond was a man with a heart of gold and an ever-present twinkle in his eye. I loved the way that he would always try to find a way to make people smile.
He was always ready with a joke, and ready to provide a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
The world has lost a little of its sparkle with his passing (it was always right there in his eyes). He loved his family and friends, and we will all miss him dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, Grady, Deb, Samantha, Shelby, Grayson, and Gene, and the rest of the family. Keep his smile in your memories when you think of him.
Sincerely,
The Barnes Family (Darryl, Doreen, Bryce, and Beth)

I was so fortunate to get back in touch with Daymond after working together at Dynalectric over 25 years ago. The world has lost a great man. I will never forget his laugh. He was always joking and clearly loved life and lived it to the fullest. RIP Daymond! Hope you are getting that "Yankee Dime" you talked about in heaven today.
