She was born on March 19, 1933 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Stephen and Mazie Kozlowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley W. Tomaszewski.
Dorothy trained to be a seamstress at the Trophogen School of Fashion and Design in New York City. Afterwards she became an apprentice in a bridal shop in Buffalo New York. And had her own small business as a seamstress for many years.
She remained active by participating in Senior Games and winning medals in Badminton and Shuffleboard.
Survivors include her two daughters, Ginny Vickers and husband David of Fredericksburg, VA and Kathy Oliver and husband Bill of Syracuse, NY; two sons, David Tomaszewski and wife Tammy of Randolph, VT and Paul Tomaszewski and wife Shirley of Churchville, NY; one sister, Lori Klamborowski of Tampa, FL; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by great-granddaughters Taylor and Samantha.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00pm Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be at 2:00pm at the Culpeper National Cemetery.
