I am sorry we have lost Harry. He was a tremendous teacher, and a truly good man. I had the privilege of working across the hall from Harry at Annandale High School. His students loved him as much as he loved them every single day. Harry will be missed, and we hope that his memory and generosity of spirit will continue to flow through every person he touched.

Harry was a colleague and friend at J.E.B. Stuart HS. I always enjoyed talking with him, learning of his most recent building project or how he spent time over the weekend with his family, created by his kindness to others. So many ESOL students owe so much to him and I hope they continue to honor him by living exemplary lives. These students are a wonderful legacy of your life well lived, Harry.

A memory of Harry is still on my desk today. He routed the number of my room, 123, into a long piece of wood. Students brought it with them when given permission to leave the room. It was returned every time ( too big too lose or forget)! I have fond memories of Harry; his room was near mine, even after renovation when we moved upstairs. God bless you, Harry, may you rest in peace.

Harry was a beloved teacher at JEB Stuart/Justice High School. He taught ESL and cared deeply for his students.

I was very sorry to hear of Harry's passing. He and I were colleagues at both Annandale and Jeb Stuart High School. Harry was extremely concerned about his ESL students having success in their new environment. He was always available to help his students in any way he could. His mentoring helped many students achieve their goals in their new country.

A dear man . Underneath a sometimes gruff exterior was a caring teacher and a loyal friend. God's peace.

I was saddened to hear of Harry’s passing. He was a kind and generous man and teacher. I worked with Harry at JEB Stuart HS. One of my fond memories of Harry was his love for Vietnamese food. He always “demanded “ nước mắm (fish sauce) whenever I served Vietnamese spring rolls.
Rest in Peace, Harry ! Will miss you!

Harry was a generous and warm-hearted man, a devoted teacher, and a kind colleague. I know that I am one of many who are terribly sad to hear that his life has ended so soon after his retirement started. Please share my condolences with those he has left behind. Susan Parker

Harry was a colleague at JEB Stuart High School for many years. He lived according to his own beliefs and integrity. Most of his hard work was for the benefit of friends and students. His devoted students reciprocated his devotion with their own. I’m sure he’s still interceding for us all!
