Bernardita Co Erfe
June 29, 1953 – November 14, 2019
Bernardita Co Erfe, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surrounded by her loving family, she was called home on Thursday, November 14th 2019 at the age of 66. She was born on June 29, 1953 in Manila, to Pablo Co and Adela Sison. She was the eldest of 6 children and was raised in Binmaley, Pangasinan. She attended Binmaley Catholic High School where she enjoyed playing Volleyball and many other sports. She was crowned as Ms. Dagupan, Pangasinan. On her free time, she enjoyed window shopping, especially for jewelry.
During her early years, she studied tailoring, and also helped run her family's sewing business. She met Fabian, and they dated for several years before marrying in 1974. They lived and worked in Quezon City, where she worked at numerous places, including Shoe Mart in Makati and the Columbia Bargain House in Cubao. In 1996, Bernardita, Fabian, and their 5 children decided to move to the United States where they have resided and found a home in Newark California. She worked 14 years of her life at Walmart before retiring. She loved working there and made a couple of close friends. She put her faith in God and was known for being a loving, compassionate, hard-working, dependable and a very ambitious person. She spent her later years cooking, crafting, watching horror/action movies, buying jewelry, rooting for the Warriors, and of course spoiling her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her younger brother Eduardo, her mother Adela, and her father Pablo. She is survived by her husband Fabian Erfe of 45 years. Her children: Darnley, Darwin, Darlene, Jeniffer and Rachelle. Her grandchildren: Darren, Darrel, Darniel, Desiree, Darby, Ariana, Joy, Darius, Junior and Ezekiel. Also extended family, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
