Jean Mock Buscher, 91, of Fremont, California passed away on July 17, 2021. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Jean leaves behind one brother, two sons, a daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She has now joined her many relatives and loved ones already in heaven, including her youngest son. Jean was born in Palo Alto, California to parents who immigrated from China for a better life. She attended Texas University, married, and traveled all over the world as a military spouse eventually settling in Milpitas, California to raise her family. She had three sons, and later worked for newspapers in Milpitas as a proofreader and fact checker. Along the way she became a mentor to many. Jean loved her family, gardening, John Wayne, country and western music, and her beloved Oakland As and 49ers. In her earlier years she participated in a women’s baseball league and later, played bowling competitively with a 220 plus handicap. She was known to everyone who knew her to have a “green thumb” and her backyard garden was the envy of many.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and no one she met will ever forget her kindness and generosity.
