Julia Elizabeth Dracopoulos

Julia Elizabeth (Rutherford) Dracopoulos came into this world along with her twin sister on October 17, 1923. Born in Fort Devons, Massachusetts one of ten children. She worked for the FBI during WWII with her sister. The twins came to California, following their father and little brothers. After WWII, with her older brothers safely back from the war they all settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Julia met her future husband through a co-worker, Mary who later became her sister-in-law, while at the Navy shipyards in San Francisco. Jim and Julia married in 1954 settling in Pacifica, California. They had two children, Carol Ann Dracopoulos (Brazil), and James Robert Dracopoulos. Julia devoted her life to her family. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren (Jeremiah Brazil, and Joshua Brazil) and her siblings especially her twin sister. She worked at Macys warehouse in San Francisco after her kids were grown. Preceding her in death are her brothers: Tom, Roe, Joe, David, Pete, Andrew, Eddie, Charlie her sister Clara, and her devoted husband Jim. Survived by her children, grandchildren, son- in-law Bill Lujan, and many nieces and nephews. Julia died May 4, 2018 at the age of 94 years old. No services are planned. In her honor donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Final resting place Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Fremont California.
