OBITUARY

Angela "Angie" Minerva

February 19, 1929April 22, 2021

Angelina ‘Angie’ was born on February 19, 1929 in New York to Nicolas and Filomena Rasulo. She left this world and entered the arms of our loving savior on April 22, 2021 at age 92.

She lived in the typical Italian neighborhood in the Bronx and was set-up on a date with Michael Minerva when she was 20. They were married the next year, June 4, 1950. Soon after, they had their first two children, Michael Jr and Diane. In 1956, they moved to California and were blessed with two more children, Donna and Robert. Mike and Angie remained loving and devoted partners for 43 years of marriage.

Angie was a wonderful spirit with many friends. She was fun-loving and a fantastic cook with a great sense of humor and laugh. Some of her favorite times were in the kitchen cooking with her husband Mike. They did ‘Farm-fresh’ way before it’s time. Arugula salads and fresh homemade meals were the only thing served. In later years, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She looked forward to, and adored babysitting, which included singing and dancing; she also relished attending their school and sporting events.

Angie was very passionate about her faith. She and Mike were devout Catholics and Eucharistic Ministers at Sacred Heart Church in Fresno for many years together. Angie had great style and enjoyed working in the fashion industry. First for Bloomingdales in NY, and then for Gottschalks on the Fulton mall in Fresno. She retired after 10 years with Bank of America in the late ‘80’s. In retirement, she loved to travel. She had some great trips with Mike before his passing in 1993, and then afterward with friends.

Angie was preceded in death by her husband Michael, son Michael Jr., her brother Prosper and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters; Diane Myers (Tim) and Donna Mora (Ed). Her son Robert Minerva. Her grandchildren, Breanne, Ethan, Dominic and Mackenzie; And her great grandchildren, Kai, Wesley and Maxwell.

Angie will always be remembered for her impeccable dress, her infectious smile, her unwavering faith, and her New York accent that never quite went away.
