Buss owned and operated Viking Bee Keeping and also worked for the City of Fresno Agriculture Department for 30 years. He enjoyed his ranch and the various sheep, horses, cows, goats, roosters, and his faithful bird dogs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed sailing with his family.
Buss is survived by his loving shepherdess wife, Kathleen "Katy" Helm, sister Joan Falk, and a large extended family of sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his puppy Spitzer.

Graveside Services will be held at Wagner Cemetery, 20085 Road 211, Friant, CA on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow.
The Wagner Family Cemetery is located approximately 2.3 miles north of the juncture of Roads 145 and 206 (Indian Springs); on Road 211 (the O'Neals Road) and past the Millerton Road turn off. There is a single lane, weather challenged, dirt road to the right which is identified with the address 20085. Turning right and traveling point 1 mile, the cemetery can be seen at a distance on the right; about 500 yards from the road, across fenced pasture land. At this juncture, there is a gate blocking further access up the road and, there is a large metal gate (which is chained but not locked) allowing foot traffic (opened to vehicles for funerals) to the cemetery. This is a private cemetery on private land and access is by permission only. (Access is also dependent upon the good will of animals which might be grazing in the pasture.)
